what are the most important parts of life?
It’s taken me a long time to intentionally be present every day. Running a business and Mothering little girls at the same time often steals the joy of Motherhood. Our culture does not value the work of Mothers…but Mothering truly is the greatest work of all, and the work that matters the most at the end of life.

Those sunny San Diego days…
How looking backwards in Motherhood evokes both grief and gratitude. I was sitting with my youngest on the couch this afternoon after dropping her older sisters at the dance studio. She wanted to watch PBS Kids since she rarely has control of the remote and is able to chose what to watch (thanks, 12 year

Autumn in NY, written in AZ
There were these mornings in New York, in that little house in the woods, when I would play autumn jazz on cool mornings when the leaves were changing colors. It felt so “old world” and charming and lovely and felt SO New York. I could imagine the city and how close it was to us,

About Me
Hi, I’m Lindsay!
I am a mother, doula,, and photographer…with a bad case of wanderlust.
Welcome to my little corner of the interwebs where we talk about birth, Motherhood, travel, and living a full life within a culture that doesn’t truly understand any of those things. Bits of homesteading in the desert and the struggle of military life are sprinkled throughout. Homemade bread, anyone?
Finding time to create anything within the parameters of solo parenting and homeschooled children is difficult at best…this is my blank slate to try to do just that. One of these days, these little humans will be grown women and I can finally publish my book…..right?

Some news to share…
So, this is happening. Oops, we did it again. Ha! When we excitedly told some family members a while back that we were expecting a third baby, one of them said, “oh, and are we happy about this?’ I wasn’t quite sure how to answer that….what kind of question is that? YES OF COURSE WE
